Solar in the South Peninsula
The South Peninsula stretches along the False Bay coast and over the mountain to the Atlantic side, taking in Muizenberg, Lakeside, Retreat, Fish Hoek, Kommetjie, Noordhoek and Simon's Town. It is a mix of family suburbs, coastal villages and homes on steep, view-facing slopes.
Two things shape installs here. First, salt air, which is hard on metal and connections on both coasts. Second, wind: the South Peninsula catches strong south-easterly and north-westerly weather, so mounting and roof condition matter. Some roofs face the wrong way for solar, and where that is true we say so and look at alternatives.
What we install
We fit solar PV, hybrid inverters and lithium battery systems, and we install and service solar geysers. Because the peninsula is coastal, we offer a maintenance service to keep output and safety where they should be.
Remote and off-grid
Some properties on the outer edges of the peninsula are far from the grid or want to rely on it less. For those, a larger battery and a well-sized array can carry more of the load. We design for the reality of the site, including shading from mountains and trees.
Getting a quote in the South Peninsula
Send us your monthly bill, the circuits you want to keep on, and a photo or description of your roof. We will prepare a written quote and arrange a site visit where it helps.
